No. 230 (63 µm) ASTM laboratory test sieve — 8 in × 2 in, stainless steel frame
This W.S. Tyler ASTM test sieve provides a nominal No. 230 (63 µm) opening in an 8 in diameter, 2 in deep frame. The sieve uses stainless steel mesh with a stainless steel frame for laboratory particle-size analysis and standardized sieving procedures.
Typical applications and selection: The 63 µm opening is well suited to very fine particle classification, including fine mineral powders, pigments, cementitious fines and other laboratory powders when the test method specifies this cut size. The all-stainless-steel construction is particularly suitable where corrosion resistance, frequent cleaning or wet-sieving capability is important. The 2-inch depth provides more sample volume and headroom than the 1-inch format. The final sieve designation and opening should always follow the applicable test method or product specification.
Calibration certification is available as an option. W.S. Tyler ASTM test sieves are manufactured to applicable ASTM E11 requirements.
