2" (50 mm) ASTM laboratory test sieve — 8 in × 2 in, brass frame

This Dual Manufacturing ASTM test sieve provides a nominal 2" (50 mm) opening in an 8 in diameter, 2 in deep frame. The sieve uses stainless steel mesh with a brass frame for laboratory particle-size analysis and standardized sieving procedures.

Typical applications and selection: The 50 mm opening is well suited to coarse aggregate, gravel and crushed-stone gradation where larger particle fractions must be separated. The stainless-steel mesh provides a corrosion-resistant screening surface, while the brass frame is a practical choice for routine dry laboratory sieving. The 2-inch depth provides more sample volume and headroom than the 1-inch format. The final sieve designation and opening should always follow the applicable test method or product specification.

Dual Manufacturing USA Standard sieves are produced as ASTM E11 compliant sieves. Each sieve has an individualized etched serial number and is supplied with a manufacturer certificate. Inspection certification is available as an option, and recertification services are also available for used sieves.
